A unique perspective...

I built a broad set of skills addressing challenges across a range of problem sets. Mechanical engineering prepared me to use analytical tools to deliver quantifiable results. As an Army officer, I learned to energize individuals into unified teams. During my M.B.A., I built a foundation of business skills. As a MSDI student, I've brought these skills together and applied design methodologies to deliver results in the classroom and business environment.

I aspire to leverage this unique perspective to be a part of teams that solve problems that mean something to the user.

My Thoughts

Projects are a journey that teammates get to take together. Each member offers their individual skills and perspective which build the team's overall capabilities. Teammates explore, propose altering visions, and sit in tension with these ideas in order to refine their contributions which ultimately amplifies their individual contributions.

I love that design is an adaptive process for solving problems across industries and functions. Rather than a prescribed set of rules, I see design as a guideline for using divergent and convergent processes to understand problems, ask the right questions and deliver impactful solutions.

I am constantly exploring new topics, ideas and pushing my boundaries. Right now I am building my ability to tell stories visually. Whether on a single Post-it Note, across a deck, or with a white erase marker, how do I combine images and words to introduce a topic, create tension, and deliver resolution. Over my final two quarters of school I'm exploring the implications of government regulation on innovation in the financial and healthcare sectors.
